Our wonderful team consists of

Dr John Copp - Laparoscopic and General Surgeon and Endoscopist

Dr Copp graduated from the University of Queensland in 1982, Obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1991 and has been performing laparoscopic surgery since its introduction to Australia in 1990. He has been doing Laparoscopic Gastric Banding as treatment for morbid obesity since 2000.

Benita Ironside

Benita Ironside is a experienced registered nurse. Some of her further qualifications are in the areas of psychological and psychiatric patient care. Benita co-ordinates the care of all the patients who wish to undergo lap banding and provides out of hours telephone service for our patients.

Reception Staff - Tina, Kerry and Diane

Tina, Kerry and Diane can help you with any problems you may have with your accounts or any help with front desk matters, so please call the reception staff if you have any concerns you would like to discuss.

Also included in the Team

Our other team members consist of Dieticians, Psychologists and Anaesthetist. The appropriate health professional for your needs will be discussed with you at your initial interview with our clinical nurse, as we believe follow up is vitally important and therefore must be available to you on a regular basis.
